Creating a Backup Image with Paragon Backup & Recovery 2010
In this illustration, the Paragon Backup & Restore utility will be used to backup the system's OS partition. The image is stored on a secondary hard disk, and contains a backup of only the OS partition with no additional partitions.

Step 1:
Launch the Paragon Backup & Recovery program.

Then click [Back Up] in the left pane.

Step 2:
Click [Next] to continue.

The following procedures will first select what to backup, then where to store the backup.

Step 3:
First select what to backup.

Select one or more partitions to backup, then click [Next] to continue.

(Note: this tutorial will backup only the OS partition.)

Step 4:
Now select where to store the backup.

First select the location of the backup media and click [Next].

(Note: this tutorial will backup to a secondary hard disk.)

Step 5:
Next select the drive and folder on the backup media, and select an archive name. In this example, the backup will be stored under "D:\Backups\Paragon\2017-test".

Click [Next] to continue.

Step 6:
You may optionally add a comment to help identify this particular backup.

Click [Next] to continue.

Step 7:
Click [Next] to continue.

Step 8:
Click [Finish] to complete setting up the task.

The task has now been queued, but will not start until you apply the command.

Step 9:
Click the [Apply] button.

Step 10:
Click [Yes] to start the task.

Step 11:
The backup task will now start.

Allow it to proceed to completion. This may typically take from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the amount of content in the partition and the speed of the backup media.

Step 12:
When the process has completed, the dialog box will report, "All operations have been finished."

Once the task has completed, close all open windows and exit the Paragon program.
